1. “Inhad” The National Self-Employment Program for SMEs, "Inhad," supported by UNICEF and implemented in partnership with the Central Bank of Jordan, Ministry of Planning and International Cooperation (Irada Program), Banks Association in Jordan, and Jordan Loan Guarantee Corporation (JLGC), offers a comprehensive and structured pathway to self-employment for Jordanian youth and SMEs, enhancing their competitiveness in the market. The program targets individuals aged 16 to 45, providing a structured approach to SME business development and investment.
Azem project has been developed as an emergency response, aiming at empowering local communities and strongly oriented towards long-term sustainability. By engaging with CBOs, MSEs and HBBs owners, Azem is choosing active local community members, who play a crucial role in the search for durable solutions. Indeed, local stakeholders are best placed to understand their surrounding communities, seize adequate opportunities and overcome challenges they face together. Oftentimes, key local actors do not benefit from a fair amount of trust, support or resources. Azem aims at bridging this gap, of local communities and experience working in remote areas, allowing the outreach of the most vulnerable and marginalized communities.
The "Toward Stronger Economic Participation of Women in Jordan" (Madad) project, funded by the European Union (EU) and implemented by the EuroMed Feminist Initiative (EFI) Association for Legal Aid and Human Rights, facilitated the economic participation of women SME owners across Jordan, in particular refugee women and vulnerable women in host communities. The project focused on increasing SME engagement in the labor market through targeted interventions in various municipalities from north to south by providing employment and self-employment services, empowering women SME owners and employees to contribute more effectively to their communities and the national economy.
Inspire employability and business development for Jordanians, Syrian refugees and Palestinian refugee entrepreneurs from Irbid through developing their entrepreneurial competencies, practical feasibility and financial capability of small businesses and startups in Irbid and facilitating the formation of stabilized joint ventures between Syrian refugees and Jordanian enterprises, and Syrian refugees and Palestinian refugee enterprises respectively
The program targets youth aged 18 to 40 with innovative ideas or entrepreneurial projects that offer environmentally friendly and/or green services or goods. It assists in the optimal utilization of natural resources for conservation and transitioning to the green economy. The training program includes skills and practical applications on how to create and develop environmentally friendly green services and products through an equipped online platform to help them turn ideas into sustainable projects that serve as real-life success stories.
: The Informal Livelihoods Advancement Activity "Iqlaa", is a significant program for Jordan's MSEs and the only Covid-19 recovery program which focuses on inclusive growth and resilience for women, youth and people with disabilities across the entrepreneurial ideation and MSE spectrum. will adopt the program’s goal to support MSEs to achieve growth in different locations and sectors, ultimately to create jobs and stimulate economic growth in Jordan.
